Urban Play

As part of a discussion series “Force of Nature: Portland’s Parks, Past, Present, and Future,” Lango Hansen was invited to present a new vision for parks in Portland. Urban Play reimagines urban park space for a demographic that is largely ignored even in thoughtful planning of urban public open space, adolescents. Instead of relegating these youths to the suburbs or shopping malls they are invited to participate in the urban core through a series of dynamic sites that engage and exhilarate.
