Treehouse

Located in an area of SW Portland with sloping topography and large existing hills, this tree house and play area were designed for a residential client and their young kids. Presented with the unique challenge of accommodating the growth and movement of an existing stand of trees, the play area was designed to allow for the trees to sway and grow over time. We coordinated closely with an arborist and structural engineer to ensure the play area would be safe for the children and trees alike.
