COCC Science Center

Located on a hillside within a pine forest, the Science Center is placed to take advantage of south facing views with a long terrace and more intimate studies in the adjacent forest uphill. Outdoor spaces are designed to encourage collaboration and interaction, as well as to support the indoor public spaces. A native plant palette frames the building and blends in with the forest edge, Local stone was used to create a series of terrace walls leading to the main entry.
