Elizabeth Caruthers Park

In collaboration with Hargreaves Associates, this visually graphic landscape is defined by strong topography and a rich palette of contrasting colors, texture and scale. Sinuous boardwalks traverse hills and wetland hollows, a landscape lushly planted with native trees and shrubs that capture and infiltrate runoff from a playful interactive water feature. Space for play, contemplation and community gathering are tucked amid striking swaths of ornamental planting visible from the surrounding buildings.
